K. Jillian Designs had the honor of designing one of the VIP Dining Rooms for the 2019 Habitat for Humanity Blueprint Gala. The decorating teams were made up of other interior designer firms and event planners.
This year’s theme was “Le Livre”, which is French for “The Book”. Each space celebrated a classic book that was near and dear to the designers’ hearts.
K. Jillian Designs chose the book The Color Purple. If you haven’t yet read the book or seen the movie, The Color Purple is a bitter-sweet saga of a young girl’s journey from a sad, colorless existence where she never appreciated the good in the world to one where she realizes life can be beautiful, rich and quite colorful.
The underlying theme of the book is “The Color Purple represents all the good in the world that God creates for men and women to enjoy.”
2019 Habitat For Humanity Tampa Blueprint Gala
The Blueprint Gala raised over $300,000. That’s enough to help build seven new homes for those in need. Habitat For Humanity focuses on shelter and affordable housing while promoting dignity and hope.
